Features

Everything you need, nothing you don't

Built from scratch for independent Irish driving instructors. No bloat. No school-focused features. Just the tools you actually use every day.

Smart Calendar

Month and list views, Irish public holidays built in, colour-coded lesson types, and buffer time warnings between bookings. Works on desktop and mobile.

EDT Hour Tracking

Automatically log Essential Driver Training hours for each student. Set 6 or 12-hour goals, track progress visually, and know exactly where every learner stands.

Student Management

Invite students with a single secure 8-character code. Track lesson history and permit status. Students can request reschedules — you approve or deny with one tap. Pause or archive without losing records.

Automated Reminders

Students receive automatic email reminders 24 hours before every lesson. Fewer no-shows, less time chasing. Reminder templates are fully customisable.

Instructor Partnership

Working alongside another instructor? Link accounts to share a combined calendar, split student rosters, and view cross-instructor analytics — while each keeps their own profile, students, and billing.

Mobile-First PWA

Installable on iPhone and Android as a Progressive Web App. Full functionality on any device — check your schedule between lessons from your car.

How it works

Up and running in minutes

No lengthy onboarding. No training required. You'll be booking your first lesson in under five minutes.

1

Create your account

Register as an instructor, enter your RSA ADI number, and your account is verified and approved within 24 hours. Your 30-day free trial starts immediately.

2

Invite your students

Generate a secure invite code for each student. They register using the code and are linked to you automatically — no admin overhead on your end.

3

Manage your schedule

Book lessons, track EDT hours, send reminders, and handle reschedules from one clean dashboard. Everything you need, right where you need it.

Early Access

Get in early — it matters

Drive Planner is newly launched. Being among the first Irish instructors on the platform has real advantages.

Shape the roadmap

Early adopters get direct input on what gets built next. Your workflow, your priorities — we're actively listening.

Lock in early pricing

Today's prices are our lowest. As the platform grows, so will the rates. Early subscribers keep their price for as long as they stay.

Direct support

During early access you get direct access to the team. Questions, issues, feature requests — answered personally, not by a support bot.

Common questions

Can't find what you're looking for? Email us and we'll get back to you within one business day.

No credit card is required. Create your account, get verified, and you have 30 full days to explore every feature. We'll remind you before your trial ends — you only enter payment details if you choose to continue.
All plans include every feature — calendar scheduling, EDT tracking, automated reminders, reschedule requests, and ICS export. The only differences are the number of active students you can manage (Starter 10 / Standard 30 / Premium 60) and the level of support: email support on Starter, priority email on Standard, and dedicated support on Premium.
No — only instructors create and schedule lessons. This keeps you in full control of your calendar. Students can request a reschedule, but you always approve or deny the change before anything is confirmed.
EDT (Essential Driver Training) is the RSA's mandatory 12-lesson pre-test programme for learner drivers in Ireland. DrivePlanner tracks how many EDT hours each student has completed, with visual progress bars and milestone notifications, so you always know exactly where every pre-test student stands.
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your account settings. If you cancel, your account remains active until the end of your current billing period. Your data is never deleted immediately — you can export or reactivate within 30 days of cancellation.
DrivePlanner is designed primarily for independent ADI instructors — solo professionals managing their own student roster.

Working with 2–3 instructors? Our built-in Partnership feature lets you link accounts, share a combined calendar view, coordinate student management, and view cross-instructor analytics — while each instructor keeps their own profile, students, and subscription. It's ideal for instructors sharing a base or covering for each other.

Running a full driving school? A larger operation with multiple instructors, fleet management, and school-level administration needs a different approach. We offer a bespoke custom platform built around your school's specific workflow. See what's possible and get in touch.
